CCFA "Read to Achieve" celebrates our 5th year at the Gregory School. We are excited to continue our mission "to close the achievement gap" serving the needs of students and their entire family in partnership with the dynamic leadership team of Ms. Harris, School Principal, Ms. Constanza Vice Principal, Ms. Jacquelynn M. Rice CCFA Site Liaison, Ms Patricia Planter Parent Liaison, Dr. Keith Miles and our newest partner Princeton Blairstown. We love the children and families, teachers and staff in the Gregory School Community they are all incredible!
September 24th was "Back to School Night" at Gregory. CCFA hosted three of our community partners:
Boy Scouts of America, Washington Crossing Council, Troop 8
Girls Scouts of Central and South Jersey, Troop 70231
Trenton Children‘s Chorus
Each organization provided information for students and parents regarding their programs and how to register to participate. CCFA’s "Read to Achieve" provided free books for students and parents to inspire students to read everyday for 30 minutes. We setup a resource table with back to school supplies, book bags and information regarding our programs:
Joining us were volunteers from Turner Construction, Nassau Christian Center and Trenton Senior Citizen Program.
Making sure that students and families have the essential resources and tools to succeed is our mandate!
